YOGA THERAPY

Rebecca is a Yoga Therapist, trained by  The Minded Institute in London. Yoga Therapy uses the practice of yoga to alleviate physical and mental health conditions. Yoga Therapy has been shown to be extremely beneficial in the treatment/management of many health conditions including anxiety, depression, stress, back pain, multiple sclerosis, dementia, Parkinson’s, high blood pressure and many more.
 
The Minded Yoga Therapy approach combines the worlds of yoga, Buddhism, science, and psychology, giving an integrative and practical approach to the empowerment of individuals facing life challenges and chronic health conditions. After a detailed and thorough consultation where your needs, your past/present medical history, and what you would like to achieve with Yoga Therapy will be discussed/assessed, a unique program of asana (yoga postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation will be used to best meet your requirements.
 
Yoga Therapy is a partnership between therapist and client, and your input, feedback and active participation are an absolutely integral part of the process to ensure you get the best out of your sessions. If something does not feel right, or you have questions or concerns, Becky is always happy to hear from you. Yoga Therapy is about your health and your well-being, and Becky’s main priority is ensuring your sessions are of maximum benefit in helping you achieve optimum health and well-being on all levels; physical, mental and emotional.

ONE TO ONE YOGA SESSIONS

You are unique. Working directly with a teacher is the traditional way to study Yoga. Within this setting you have the opportunity to ask questions, personalise and set a focus/intention for your home practice or for when you are next in a general class. Working one to one is of particular benefit to new beginner or for those health conditions who may not feel confident enough to go straight into group classes.

SMALL GROUP YOGA

Small group sessions of up to 4 people allow for much more personal tuition, and time spent working on specific aspects of yoga, as directed by the desire of the group. An example of this is our popular New Mums Yoga class which enables new mums to keep up their practice without having to worry about babysitters as the babies are welcomed into the class too!
 
These can be arranged by you for your own group, or may occur organically as a group of students in class, with similar needs emerges.
